Potential Landmarks

The list of potential landmarks was compiled at the same time that the city passed its preservation ordinance.  There are 157 structures identified by the City of Monrovia as "potential landmarks" but that does not mean that they will automatically qualify for landmark designation if the owners submit an application.   Potential Historical Landmarks are grouped by Street Name, and information such as year built, architect and style are indicated when known.  We have provided photo galleries with the buildings alphabetized by street name  (click on a title below to start browsing)  and a spreadsheet in PDF form that can be viewed/downloaded.
