Be a Volunteer for the Mother’s Day Home Tour

Want to spend three hours working on the 25th Anniversary Mother’s Day Home Tour? We have positions open to be a docent in fabulous historic homes. You don’t have to be knowledgeable about vintage homes; your House Captain will provide all the information about the house for you. If you are not a talker, we have spots for you, too.

Should you volunteer, you may select morning 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or afternoon shift 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., but we really need lots of afternoon folks. There is a pre-tour meeting at your specific house for you to meet the homeowner, hear about the house history and pick your spot in the house for day of Tour.

Day of tour, you show up for your shift and get to meet other house nuts. As a volunteer you get to enter all the homes on the tour for free. You are also invited to the pre-tour Volunteer Thank you dinner Saturday, May 12, 2007.

So, be a volunteer. Your volunteer efforts are what make Monrovia different than other cities. MOHPG is a strong influence in trying to keep the charm in Monrovia and make sure that our vintage character is not lost.
