The Monrovia Historic Preservation Group is one of the largest non-profit organizations in Monrovia with an active membership of nearly 200 households. Members work to make a tangible difference in the appearance and livability of our community.
If you’re not yet a member, we hope that you will consider joining us on our mission. You can visit our Online Store to purchase a membership and become an active participant in helping us continue to restore, preserve and maintain the character of the wonderful city of Monrovia.
The Monrovia Historic Preservation Group is entrusted with Monrovia’s heritage through preservation, education, and community involvement.
When you become a member, you will receive a regular newsletter with current information about the group and its activities and can also attend monthly meetings covering a wide-ranging list of topics. Recent meetings have included a tour of the Lummis Home in the Arroyo Seco area off the Pasadena Fwy, the Pasadena Tournament of Roses headquarters (the Wrigley Mansion), and Monrovia's own Aztec Hotel, currently in a state of transition.
Members have access to the Resource Directory, a listing of businesses and craftsmen whose skills are in demand for homeowners restoring their vintage homes. The only way to be included in the directory is by referral from an MOHPG member. The current directory lists 145 businesses in 34 categories and can be found in the members-only section of this website.
